A Brief & Fun History of DAVE’S

DAVE’S has been a WNY staple for almost four decades. Founded by our owner, Dave Gordon, DAVE’S began as National Warehouse Sales in 1977. Since then, DAVE’S has changed and grown significantly to become the all season store we are today! Today’s post covers a brief history of where we’ve been and where we are today. We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with DAVE’S, and we plan to stick around, serving WNY for many years to come.

From 1977 to the early 2000’s, DAVE’S worked in warehouse sales, featuring closeouts and bargains on patio furniture, everyday items like sneakers, and Christmas decorations. As DAVE’S grew, we dived deeper into Christmas decorations and seasonal decor. As a result, we became DAVE’S Christmas Wonderland in the early 2000’s.

DAVE’S continued to grow throughout the early 2000’s, bringing us to where we are today. DAVE’S has evolved into an all-season store, featuring groceries, home decor, everyday items, and locally grown flowers from our garden center. Though we’ve grown, DAVE’S still continues to pass on our great deals directly to our customers. We hope you’ve enjoyed the ride and will continue to shop with DAVE’S for all your home needs!
